Den 52-årige nordmannen Stein Dokset som har slått seg ned i Thailand, vitnet hele fredagen i saken som er reist mot ham, melder avisa Phuket Gazette.

– Dokset gjentok at han er uskyldig i forsettlig drap, og sa at dødsfallet skyldes et uhell, forteller aktor i saken, som ønsker å holde seg anonym, etter rettsmøtet i går.

Han er tiltalt for å ha drept sin eks-kjæreste, trebarnsmoren Rungnapa Suktong. Levningene av henne ble funnet i en søplekasse i huset der Dokset oppholder seg.

Dokset sa til retten at han dyttet til kvinnen i et raserianfall som skyldtes sjalusi, og at hun slo hodet sitt idet hun falt ned trappa i luksusleiligheten i Kata, melder avisa.

Etterpå skal han pakket den døde i plast og lagt henne i en søppeldunk som han forseglet og låste inn i et av leilighetens seks bad. Der ble dunken stående til 28. februar 2012 da politiet ransaket huset etter et tips, skrev ABC Nyheter 10. november.

Rettsmedisinerne skal imidlertid ha kommet fram til at kvinnen har blitt slått i holdet med en hard gjenstand.

Dom faller i januar. Hvis Dokset blir kjent skyldig, kan han bli dømt til dødsstraff eller fengsel i 15-20 år.
