Platevåren 2010

OSLO (ABC Nyheter): De helt store utgivelsene lar vente på seg, men det er likevel mye å se frem til denne platevåren.

Vi har tatt en runde med plateselskapene og sliter litt med å finne de virkelig store navnene på vårens lanseringskart. Men det betyr ikke at listen er mindre interessant.

Sade tilbake

Foruten det etterlengtede comebackalbumet til Sade, «Soldier Of Love», som blir hennes første utgivelse på ti år, så er blant annet Vampire Weekend tilbake med sitt andre album, «Contra», allerede neste uke. En utgivelse som mange ser frem til.

Triphopvidunderet fra 90-tallet, Massive Attack, er et annet band som vender tilbake med nytt materiale i februar etter åtte år i dvale. Samme måned er Ingrid Olava klar med sin oppfølger til 2008-debuten, mens David Byrne i selskap med Fatboy Slim endelig lander med sin kontroversielle konseptplate om den tidligere førstedamen på Filippinene, Imelda Marcos.

Undergrunn og nykommere

Men det er likevel først og fremst undergrunnen og mange spennende nykommere som virkelig vil dominere platevåren 2010.

Norske Pony The Pirate sitt debutalbum har allerede blitt omtalt med lovord fra kritikerne, det samme kan sies om Lindstrøm & Christabelles diskoplate som er rett rundt hjørnet, mens Laura Veirs og svenske [Ingenting] (som ikke må forveksles med Sandnes-bandet av samme navn!) vil sette sitt preg på begynnelsen av året.

Eldre travere som Eels og Motorpsycho slipper begge plater 18. januar, samme dag som jentene i Oslo-bandet VOM slipper sitt debutalbum med brask og bram.
